Dealer Portal: Selling to Other Dealers
The first time an order is placed with AMETEK Brookfield, an email be will generated and sent with user name, temporary password (only for first time login), and link to the dealer portal:
Step 1 - Login: Click on the link to the Dealer Portal. Your web browser will then open to the login dialogue. Login with User Name for access to the Dealer Portal. Enter the User Name and Password (if it is your first time, it will be the temporary password from the email). When complete, click on the Login button:
If logging in for the first time, or you forgot your password and have an email to reactivate it, the following screen will require you to enter the temporary password and create a new password. Enter Passwords and click on Continue:
The following screen will then be displayed showing the most recent five orders made by your organization:
Step 2 – Create a New Reseller: If selling to an existing reseller, skip to Step 3.
Click on Users & Orgs and choose List Related Organizations:
The next screen will list all the existing Resellers. To create a new reseller, on this screen click on Action, and choose “Create Partner Org”:
At the next screen, enter reseller information. The organization type should say “CHANNEL_PARTNER”. The required fields are Organization Name and Display Name. Set “Visible to Other Partners” to No if you do not want to share the end user information with sub-dealers. Then, under “Organization Users” click on Action and choose “Create a User”:
On the next screen, enter the Reseller’s contact information. “Can this user log in…” should be set to Yes. The required fields are First Name, Last Name, and Email Address. Under Organizations/Role, check the “Portal Admin User Role”, then click Save:
The new Reseller will receive an email with user name, temporary password, and link to the dealer portal.
Step 3 – Select License: To view all available licenses to split to resellers or end users, choose the Orders>Bulk Orders from the Orders menu:
The portal will then display all orders, and the number of licenses available, if any. To issue a license to a reseller, select the Order ID, click on Action, and choose Split.
The following screen will then let you choose a reseller and how many licenses to grant them. Enter the number of licenses, and click on the
icon to select the reseller:
Step 4 – Select existing Reseller: Current resellers can then be selected:
Choose the Distribution Tier Type (Agent1, Agent2, or Agent3). Note, Distributors sell to Agent1 resellers; Agent1 resellers sell to Agent2 resellers; and Agent2 resellers sell to Agent3 resellers.
Select the account and Hit Next. Then, choose an existing reseller contact name and click on Save.
Step 5 – Issue License: The following screen will provide the reseller and license. Click on Split:
On the pop-up screen, click OK to confirm the order:
On the next screen, click on Complete:
An email will be automatically sent to the reseller informing them that the order has been split, and directing them to log in to the Dealer Portal with their password to see the details.
