Rheocalc T Log File Locations
Sometimes particular log files can greatly assist in the troubleshooting of your particular issue.
See the information below to locate the log files you are looking for.
SQL Server 2016 installation log for Rheocalc T 2.0.37 and above
The installation log for SQL server 2016 can be found at:
Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\130\Setup Bootstrap\
Right click the “Log” folder and select Send To → Compressed (zipped) Folder
Send the created .zip file to whomever requested it.
Rheocalc T installation log (for all versions)
The Rheocalc T installation log is available at:
C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Temp
Where {username} is the current logged-in Windows user who is attempting to install Rheocalc T.
Locate the “RCT_FULL_CD.log” file and send this to whomever requested it.
If it has been a while since the installation was attempted, the “Temp” folder may have been emptied. If you can’t find the right log file, re-run the installation to generate a new one.
You will need to be able to view hidden items in the file explorer to find the AppData folder.
Some email security setting disallow the sending of “.log” files. If this happens, right click the desired .log file, and select open with, then select the Notepad program from the following menu.
Click File → Save As, and save the file as a “.txt”, then send this .txt file.
Rheocalc T “Tech Support” log (all versions)
If your program is having troubles not related to initial installation, the “tech support” log can sometimes help. This log can be found at:
C:\Users{username}\AppData\Roaming\BEL\RheocalcT\V2
Where {username} is the current logged-in Windows user.
Locate the “RCT Tech Support.log” file and send it to whomever requested it.
You will need to be able to view hidden items in the file explorer to find the AppData folder.
